Introducing Baby O AKA Sir Liam the Cute! (August 2007)

After a week of stress tests and lots of visits to labor and delivery due to high blood pressure, the doctors wanted to induce, but Liz convinced the doctor to wait it out for the weekend since Baby O just didn't seem ready. That weekend was Dad R's surprise 70th birthday party. Well, the big surprise was really that Liz's water broke after yelling, "Surprise, Happy Birthday!" Off to the hospital Mom and Dad O and the Mommy and Daddy to be with the rest of the gang in tow after they celebrated Dad R's birthday. Caroline had flown in early too, so all were in the area for the much awaited event. Only John was absent, who was defending our country and was deployed in the Persian Gulf.

It was a very exciting night! Labor officially started at 6:30 pm on August 25, Saturday night and Liz gave in and got the epidural at 3:30 am, which was a good thing since she had to push for 3 hours since Baby O. was sunny-side up (meaning face up) and had his head cock-eyed. With Fred and Caroline helping coach Liz through labor, finally Sir Liam the Cute (as dubbed by Grandma O.) was born Sunday morning, August 26 at 8:48 am, weighing 6 pounds, 10 ounces, and measuring 20 inches long. It was such an amazing experience!
