O'Briens
A twelve year journey including a very long ortho surgery residency, first year as staff, a move to Fort Irwin AKA The Moon, a move back to DC, and now finally settling for a while in the Augusta, Georgia area-this blog tells a story of a boy and a girl leaving NYC, both switching careers, joining the Army, starting our family, loving, losing, living... Buckle up, this life of ours is bumpy, but full of love and lots of adventure.

Mele Kalikimaka!

We just got home from an amazing Hawaiian reunion! Thanks Mom and Dad R for a fabulous time! Liam and Mailee were so cute together, and though Liam was pretty good about sharing his toys, he wasn't so keen on sharing his "mommy, mommy, mommy" or "grandma, grandma, grandma" so much. We also learned that the spirit of Sabre lives within Liam as he really likes when everyone is all together and doesn't like when someone separates for the group. And we learned that he likes to repeat names of people whose attention he wants three times (see above). Anyhow, it was so much fun and so sad that it had to come to an end. But on with more adventures with the winter segment of our Christmas holidays--Pittsburgh with Grandparents O and R and and the Poconos with Elanna and Andreas!

What a beautiful place, and beautiful family ! Chrismas here in Pittsburgh was magical, with Sir Liam the Cute exploring the house, and having fun opening gifts, playing with his new puzzles and toys. We so appreciate the effort to come here, and spend Christmas here in the 'Burgh :-))
Have fun in the Poconos :-))
lots of love, Grandma,Grandma, Grandma,Grandpa,Grandpa,Grandpa O :-))

Dear Sir Liam the Cutest,

Oh! we all enjoyed our trip to Hawaii prior to Christmas celebration at Pittsburgh. It was fun to see you and your cousin Mailee play well together on the beach and in the pool. Both your Mom and Auntie C were in Hawaii when they were teenagers. They were so happy to be back there with you, Mailee, your Dad and Uncle Cha Chi.

We look forward to having more fun time with you again soon.

Much love to you,

Grandma and Grandpa R.
