O'Briens

O'Briens
A twelve year journey including a very long ortho surgery residency, first year as staff, a move to Fort Irwin AKA The Moon, a move back to DC, and now finally settling for a while in the Augusta, Georgia area-this blog tells a story of a boy and a girl leaving NYC, both switching careers, joining the Army, starting our family, loving, losing, living... Buckle up, this life of ours is bumpy, but full of love and lots of adventure.

Trains, Planes and Automobiles

Well, minus the planes... Mommy and I took Liam to Cabin John park this afternoon for a train ride and to introduce him to slides. He loved riding through the forest and thankfully didn't reach his hand out to grab poison ivy. Liam also loved chasing soccer balls and running through the big blue tunnel. The best part is we don't have to worry about sunscreen or sunburns because the park in the woods and shaded. Liam had so much fun, in fact he was exhausted and he napped all the way home.

Here is some footage of Liam and me on the slide.

Here is some funny footage from Liam's point of view...well, we didn't realize Mommy had the camera on, but it seems like it would be a good example of life from Liam's perspective.

Hi...Grandma O here...
It looks as though the Family O had a wonderful time at the park.

Liam, it is very plain to see that you love to play, especially with Mom and Dad....who are the best playmates a little boy can have....how great for all three of you.

lots of love, hugs and kisses,
Grandma O

Dear Sir Liam the Cutest,

Certainly, you all had a really good time in the park. You are one lucky little boy to have such terrific parents who give you much attention and support. We are so happy to have you all in our lives.

May God continue to bless you all.
