A twelve year journey including a very long ortho surgery residency, first year as staff, a move to Fort Irwin AKA The Moon, a move back to DC, and now finally settling for a while in the Augusta, Georgia area-this blog tells a story of a boy and a girl leaving NYC, both switching careers, joining the Army, starting our family, loving, losing, living... Buckle up, this life of ours is bumpy, but full of love and lots of adventure.

Good morning Sir Liam,

Hi Liam,
Grandpa O and I had such a great visit with you this past weekend. We were all together at Grandpa and Grandma R's home, to celebrate Aunt Caroline's new baby, your new cousin ! Grandpa O, Grandpa R, and your Dad watched you for the afternoon, and enjoyed seeing you crawling, and then walking around tables and almost, but not quite taking steps by yourself !!! You are very very close to mastering the skill of walking....what fun !!! We always enjoy being with you.....we love you dearly, and look forwrd to seeing you again very soon...for your birthday ...hooray !!!

Dear Sir Liam the Cutest,

We had so much fun having your Grandparents O visiting for the baby shower for Auntie C. Your Dad, Grandpa O and Grandpa R did a superb job watching you. They all were so happy to see you were getting close to mastering of walking all by yourself.

Of course, we are very excited to celebrate your birthday very soon. Guess who else have their birthdays in August? Your Dad, Uncle Cha Chi, and Grandpa R. Yes, all of you were born in the month of August. It is the Month for Celebration.

I can't wait to see you enjoying your very first birthday cake.
