This weekend we dodged the rain and went down to Grandma & Grandpa Rhynerson's house for a family BBQ. We came back home in time to hear the fireworks in the neighborhood, but we didn't see any this year. Liam was asleep anyway, and we were both pretty tired too. We also had dinner with Mya, Pete and Diego on Saturday, and then on Sunday met some of the guys Fred works with for some pizza and beer. It was nice to just chill out and enjoy having everyone home for the weekend. We hope this weekend was just as relaxing for all of you.

It was indeed your very first 4th of July. We just had a very low-key BBQ this year but we had a wonderful time with you, your Mom and Dad. I am glad that you enjoyed the potato and carrot that I boiled just for you. We also did not go to see the fireworks - the weather was not that nice anyway.
