O'Briens

O'Briens
A twelve year journey including a very long ortho surgery residency, first year as staff, a move to Fort Irwin AKA The Moon, a move back to DC, and now finally settling for a while in the Augusta, Georgia area-this blog tells a story of a boy and a girl leaving NYC, both switching careers, joining the Army, starting our family, loving, losing, living... Buckle up, this life of ours is bumpy, but full of love and lots of adventure.

Surprises from the moon...
Liam and Isabelle welcomed their baby brother into the world on Feb 7th, 2013.

Kellan Vanloc O’Brien was born at 10:39am PST, weighed 7 lbs 3oz, and
was 20 ½ inches long.

“Kellan” is (yet another Irish) name that we liked, and “Vanloc” is in
honor of his great-grandfather (Liz’s grandfather), who passed away in
his native Vietnam after Liz’s mother moved to the U.S.

What a wonderful blessing he is to us all.
