We were able to celebrate Isabelle's six month birthday down in Jacksonville with Fred. We can't believe how big she has gotten already. September 11th has been a very solemn day for us since Fred and I were in NYC when the planes hit the WTC, but it was nice this year to have something to celebrate on this day, while still remembering those who were lost nine years ago. As my heart still hurts for all of those affected by such a tragedy, a recognition of Isabelle's life is appropriate--celebrating a girl who gave and continues to give us so much hope.
We love you Isabelle Hope. Our lives are fuller, and we are blessed because you are in it.

Dear Beautiful Isabelle,
It has been a little over 6 months ago when you were born into our family. You’ll never know how excited we were that you finally made through your 40th week. It was our faith and hope every day that carried your Mom through the obvious difficult time of her pregnancy. Every time she went in for check up, they just urged her to labor/delivery room even though you were not even near full term. But you were a very good girl - hanging in there with your Mom's hope that you will be just fine until you were ready to be born. You are as beautiful and healthy as we could have hoped for thanks to our faith and hope and prayers from family and friends.
We join your Mom, Dad and your brother Liam in wholeheartedly celebrating your being here with us all. May God continue to bless you as you grow each day into the most beautiful little girl whose smile can melt our heart.
Love you tons,
Grandma R
Dearest Isabelle Hope,
Oh yes, your Mom and Grandma R have so beautifully expressed their thoughts about your presence in our family and the joy you bring. I echo the same sentiments, and add that both Grandpa O and I talk about you and your terrific brother Liam, all the time. What a beautiful gift it is to have such wonderful and loving children to bring light and life to so many. We were so worried about your Mom as she & your Dad awaited your arrival. And then, March 11, 2010 you arrived very very early in the morning! It was a joyful day, with telephone calls to all our extended family in France and Washington state.
We wish you all the best in life, and love you so so so much.
Hugs and kisses, dear Isabelle Hope
Grandma O
