O'Briens

O'Briens
A twelve year journey including a very long ortho surgery residency, first year as staff, a move to Fort Irwin AKA The Moon, a move back to DC, and now finally settling for a while in the Augusta, Georgia area-this blog tells a story of a boy and a girl leaving NYC, both switching careers, joining the Army, starting our family, loving, losing, living... Buckle up, this life of ours is bumpy, but full of love and lots of adventure.

Happy One Month, Isabelle!

It is Vietnamese tradition to celebrate a baby's one month of life, which Grandma/Grandpa R was of course, happy to host. It was wonderful to have our family and friends gather to rejoice in our sweet Isabelle Hope's first 30 days and to help welcome her into their lives.

It was wonderful indeed to be able to celebrate our sweet Isabelle being one month old with families and friends. Thank you all who came to join us in the celebration and I hope everyone enjoyed it. But most of all, we were so thankful for Isabelle - beautiful and healthy as she can be.

Here is to you again, Isabelle! May you be blessed forever as we all (including your big brother Liam) love you.

Lots of love to you and your big brother Liam.

Your Ladyship Isabelle,
You were the star of the day, and along with your brother Sir Liam, and your cousin Princess Mailee all three of you looked wonderful in your Vietnamese garments :-)
We all enjoyed the party and of course the yummy food prepared by Grandmother Rhynerson :-) Grandpa O'B got lots of wonderful holding time...and he is smitten ! All of us are smitten with you and Liam !
We look forward to the next time we see you!
lots and lots of love, hugs and kisses, Grandma O
