A twelve year journey including a very long ortho surgery residency, first year as staff, a move to Fort Irwin AKA The Moon, a move back to DC, and now finally settling for a while in the Augusta, Georgia area-this blog tells a story of a boy and a girl leaving NYC, both switching careers, joining the Army, starting our family, loving, losing, living... Buckle up, this life of ours is bumpy, but full of love and lots of adventure.

Happy Birthday, Aunt Cee Cee!


So glad we can share it with you here in DC! Liam loved picking out your "pretty, yellow shirt" and helping you blow out your candles.

You were so cute in that photo helping Aunt C blowing out her candles on her birthday. It was nice to have the opportunity to celebrate it with her being here in DC with us all. We wish her again a year filled with best things in this life: happiness, health, beauty and prosperity.

Your expressions were so delighted to see that you now realize birthday cake is so much fun and anticipating. I can't wait to see you with your own 3-candle birthday cake this August.
