O'Briens
A twelve year journey including a very long ortho surgery residency, first year as staff, a move to Fort Irwin AKA The Moon, a move back to DC, and now finally settling for a while in the Augusta, Georgia area-this blog tells a story of a boy and a girl leaving NYC, both switching careers, joining the Army, starting our family, loving, losing, living... Buckle up, this life of ours is bumpy, but full of love and lots of adventure.

Bethany Beach with the Maloneys and Langleys!

We have talked about getting the families together at the Bethany Beach abode of the Langleys, but schedules never worked out until this past weekend! Well, it ended up not working for Fred, but the rest of us were able to go. The Langley's newly dubbed home, Sandy Feat was gorgeous and was like staying at a bed and breakfast with lots better company! Thank you Kathy and Charlie, as well as Rita and Brian! Mom and Dad R had a great time spending time with good friend and even went boating! Mom R has gotten more daring in her older years and came back exhilarated. :) And Liam of course had a blast with the Maloney kids, as uusal and I got some much needed girl time with Ree Ree. Brian needed some male companionship though, so maybe he and Fred will get together for some windsurfing or something soon.

Dear Sir Liam the Cutest,

We had a great time at Bethany Beach with you, your Mom, the Langleys and Rita and Brian and their children. The weather was perfect despite the warning of tropical storm Danny which was originally listed as a hurricane heading north along Atlantic coast line - surprisingly, we even had a smooth boat ride with the Langleys.

We must say many thanks to the Langleys for this nice trip. They certainly were wonderful hosts during our staying in their beautiful home. We appreciate it so very much.

We hope to see the Langleys again when they are in town occasionally.

Love you tons,
Grandma and Grandpa R
