O'Briens

O'Briens
A twelve year journey including a very long ortho surgery residency, first year as staff, a move to Fort Irwin AKA The Moon, a move back to DC, and now finally settling for a while in the Augusta, Georgia area-this blog tells a story of a boy and a girl leaving NYC, both switching careers, joining the Army, starting our family, loving, losing, living... Buckle up, this life of ours is bumpy, but full of love and lots of adventure.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We have so much to be thankful for this year. Dad is recovering so well and you can't even tell he had a stroke. In the spirit of spending more time together, we decided to forgo the kitchen duty and ordered most of our dinner from Whole Foods--IT WAS DELICIOUS! We were pleasantly surprised at how awesome it was and now we may never cook T-dinner again! We were able to hang out together as a family and enjoy one another and we had a fabulous time.

Hoping your gobble, gobble day was wonderful too!

Dear Liam and Isabelle,
Yes, we did have much to celebrate in thankfulness this Thanksgiving of 2010. Our weekend was filled with the joy of being with you, playing with you and seeing that Grandpa R has had a return to his good health. We pray that his health remains that way for many many years to come. And, by the way, the meal from Whole Foods that Mommy order was as delicious as she said. Are we on to a very good thing ?
Much love, Grandma O
