O'Briens

O'Briens
A twelve year journey including a very long ortho surgery residency, first year as staff, a move to Fort Irwin AKA The Moon, a move back to DC, and now finally settling for a while in the Augusta, Georgia area-this blog tells a story of a boy and a girl leaving NYC, both switching careers, joining the Army, starting our family, loving, losing, living... Buckle up, this life of ours is bumpy, but full of love and lots of adventure.

We miss you, Sabre

o

Today marks one year since we lost our Sabre Baby. The weather was gorgeous outside today and as we walked as a family of four around our neighborhood and to the park, we felt a void not having another family member with us. We talked about how much she would have loved today--sniffing and running around, with a spring in her step.

We know that she would have watched over Baby Isabelle as she watched over Liam. We'll have to settle with knowing she is still with us in spirit.

Sabre is never far from our thoughts and our hearts.
