O'Briens

O'Briens
A twelve year journey including a very long ortho surgery residency, first year as staff, a move to Fort Irwin AKA The Moon, a move back to DC, and now finally settling for a while in the Augusta, Georgia area-this blog tells a story of a boy and a girl leaving NYC, both switching careers, joining the Army, starting our family, loving, losing, living... Buckle up, this life of ours is bumpy, but full of love and lots of adventure.

The Homestead

We were lucky to get a visit from our French clan and then gather with Grandma and Grandpa O at The Homestead to celebrate their 40th year of marriage. Great venue, great people and great fun!

Sir Liam (and Suzanne),
We did have fun that weekend at the Homestead. Both of you were the nicest, best looking kids staying there :-) Grandpa O and I keep talking about walking up to see the horses, feeding the horses, and petting them. The playgroud was great too. Remember the big loooong halls you could run along...you are fast runners !:-)
Hugs, kisses and lots of love,
Grandma O

Dear Sir Liam the Cutest,

You certainly looked very happy to be with grandparents O, your Mom and Dad, Uncle Mark, Aunt Delphine and Cousin Suzanne to celebrate grandparents O's 40th anniversay. What a beautiful place it was to get together for the event! And the weather was so perfect for outdoor activities. I love seeing you with Suzanne - a perfect pair of grandchildren for grandparents O. It was no surprise that you already picked up a few French words from Suzanne.

I will be seing you soon with more love and kisses,

Grandma R
