We decided to go ahead and get a tree even though Liam is running, jumping, and climbing on everything these days. Why not add to the obstacles and put a tree into the mix, right? We packed Liam in the car in his big winter jacket and drove out to Butler's Orchard in Maryland. We had high hopes to take Liam out to the fields to actually cut our tree down, but after 20 minutes and locating our favorite tree, Liam had enough, and had no problems letting us know that he was D-O-N-E. So we made our way back to the market and picked out a gorgeous Douglas Fir. We had gotten Fraser Firs in the past. It is a gorgeous tree, but boy is it BIG and full. The more tree for Liam to climb! So far so good, but notice that there are none of our glass ornaments on it this year and the bottom quarter is really bare--for a reason, you know. If you can't figure out why, then ask a little monkey named Liam. Stay tuned for more holiday shenanigans.

Oh! Sir Liam the Cutest helped Mom and Dad picking out a Christmas tree this year. What a big boy you are as this is a 2nd Christmas for you to enjoy festive foods and toys. You will see all these activities on December 24 as we will have our Christmas Eve dinner with us, your Mom, Dad, Auntie C and Uncle Cha Chi, and your cousin Mailee. We will miss your grandparents O as they will have their Christmas with Uncle Mark, Aunt Delphine and your cousin Suzanne in France.
Then, we will have more food on Christmas Day (the traditional turkey dinner with all trimmings as we had on Thanksgiving in Anacortes, WA). We also will host a one-month old party for Mailee on December 26 with some yummy authentic food. Auntie C's friends will meet Mailee for the very first time.
We are so excited that we can be with you and Mailee again. You both are our treasures.
Love you tons,
Grandma R
Dear Sir Liam,
What a terrific job you did helping Mom and Dad select your Christmas tree. I am sure it is decorated beautifully, and that you are really enjoying the lights. I know how much you love lights !
We will miss seeing you on Chrismas Day, but we will be thinking of you with love, as we celebrate the birth of Christ with cousin Suzanne, Uncle Mark,Aunt Delphine and all the French relatives, in Paris....the city of light ! Perhaps one day, all of us can be together to celebrate.
We look forward to our visit in January to celebrate again, and especially to see YOU.
Please tell Mom what wonderful job she is doing on this blog. Grandpa O and I really love that picture of you, Mom and Dad that was taken in Anacortes.
lots and lots of love, kisses, hugs...Grandma O
