O'Briens

O'Briens
A twelve year journey including a very long ortho surgery residency, first year as staff, a move to Fort Irwin AKA The Moon, a move back to DC, and now finally settling for a while in the Augusta, Georgia area-this blog tells a story of a boy and a girl leaving NYC, both switching careers, joining the Army, starting our family, loving, losing, living... Buckle up, this life of ours is bumpy, but full of love and lots of adventure.

Welcome Mailee Elizabeth Hilburn

My adorable niece arrived yesterday November 12, 2008 at 5:36 pst. She weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces and was 19 inches long. Caroline did an amazing job and was very patient since she had been in the hospital since Tuesday night. John was incredible and very supportive through the labor and emergency c-section delivery and is now doting father and husband. Caroline is due to come home Saturday and she, John and Mailee are bonding and loving their new life as a family.

Thank you, Caroline for letting me be part of such an amazing event. I am so very proud of you and am honored to be your sister.

Hooray!!!It was a great day to hear that Mailee finally made her debut. We already fell in love with her -such sweet little baby girl that Caroline and John have longed for. Well, congratulations to you both. Mailee is a very lucky girl to have wonderful parents and the entire RHYHILOB family who love, adore and cherish her every day of her life just as much as we do with Liam.

We can hardly wait to meet Mailee this coming week and look forward to having Thanksgiving Day with all members of RHYHILOB in the Pacific Northwest this year.

Much love to all,

Grandparents R
