Happy Tet!

We had a very busy week this week. Liam had another play date with his friends Diego and Drew, Liam really started getting the hang of the Jumperoo, Grandma O came to visit and fed him peas and pears, and we had our annual Vietnamese New Year party at Mom and Dad R's house with all of our family and friends. It is the year of the Rat (Fred III's year) and the celebration of Liam's first Vietnamese birthday. So Liam is one-year old according to the Chinese lunar calendar. The party was full of good friends and yummy food and Liam made his first debut in Vietnamese garb. Check out the photos and new videos.

Happy Year of the Rat!

Dear Sir Liam the Cute,

It was your 1st Tet but believe me,you really made the event most enjoyable, and most importantly, it meant that you are now one year old according to the Vietnamese tradition.... Happy Birtday to you!

You were the focus of this year's party in your Vietnamese outfit (ao va quan). Everybody agreed that you looked so cute. We were all so proud of you.

So sorry that you could not eat any of the Vietnamese delectables this year, but you definitely will have a taste of all of Grandma R. delicacies in the years to come.

Lots of love and kisses,

Grandma R

Hi Sir Liam the Cute,
Grandpa O and I had such a wonderful time at your first Tet party. You definitely were the star of the evening in your oh soooo sharp Vietnamese outfit. Of course, we were wondering how you managed to grow such a long, black braid, so quickly...and your roots are blond !!! It just proves how very smart and clever you are. Your Mom and Dad let me stay with the Family O for several days, and I had such fun holding, playing, kissing, and hugging you. Remember eating peas, and blowing raspberries at me...and making your bib look like a Jasper Johns canvas? Maybe you will be a world famous artist ! Well, I left Washington yesterday, and already I miss you. Hugs and kisses to you, Sabre and your Mom and Dad.
love Grandma O
PS, have you read the latest installment of "Once Upon a Time" written by Grandpa R? It is a really great story book he is writing just for you !
love again G O
